Deshpande Center Awards $628K in New Grants

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- MIT's Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation announced that it has awarded $628,000 in grants to seven MIT research teams.

The teams are researching in a variety of areas, from medical devices to environmental solutions.

The Deshpande Center was founded in 2002 and has funded 61 research projects with over $7 million in grants.  Nine grantees have gone on to receive a combined total of $40 million in additional funding from venture capital firms.
